TGR Attorney Frank Kerney Interviewed by TBO

TGR Attorney Frank Kerney was interviewed by Tampa Bay Online regarding one of his cases. Kerney represented a ride-sharing driver and was able to get the state to dismiss the charges against his client.

But prosecutors announced earlier this month that they had dropped the criminal case against Kazemi.

“They couldn’t prove the charge,” said Tampa attorney Frank Kerney, who represents Kazemi and a handful of other ride-sharing drivers. Kerney said Kazemi isn’t the only driver who was charged who won’t be prosecuted.

“In some cases, charges are being dropped,’’ he said. “Some are going forward.” Kazemi has stopped offering rides for Lyft until an agreement is worked out between the ride-sharing company and the commission, Kerney said. “I am optimistic and I hope this issue will be resolved,” Kerney said. “I hope drivers won’t be cited for future infractions.”
